Ed has been a leader in the surety industry for almost 25 years. His diverse experience in all areas of the business is hard to match and enables him to provide unique insight and consultation to his clients that very few others can in this niche business. He has worked all over the country and has seen it all in all in the surety business. After spending the first 10 years of his career working his way up the corporate ladder on the underwriting side of the business with Reliance Surety, Travelers and The Hartford, Ed made the change to the broker side where he could have a more direct impact on the success of his clients. He got invaluable broker experience running the Los Angeles office of Willis and then opening the surety division for Alliant in Newport Beach, CA. Then in 2010 Ed started Hackett Bonds with the goal of being the industry leader in the surety bond brokerage market.

Brendan graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with degrees in both Economics and Political Science. After College Brendan worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker in Dallas gaining in depth sales, analytical and client relationship skills. Brendan eventually decided to move back to California and use the skillsets he acquired through Real Estate toward the Surety industry to help assist his uncle Ed in expanding the family business at Hackett Bonds. Brendan is dedicated to bringing a client focused approach to the business and works hard to provide exceptional service to ensure his clients are able to get the best bonds possible for their projects. When not working Brendan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and listening to live music.
